Forklift Safety in the WorkplaceIndustrial Training & Design Ltd. has developed a Forklift Safety course that meets all requirements under Occupational Health & Safety regulations. More and more workplace incidents involving loss of material, property damage and injury involve forklifts. Forklifts are surprisingly deceptive to use, more so than is understood by even experienced forklift operators. Our 4-hour course is designed to address typical safety-related concerns in the operation of these everyday machines. Please note that this course is a Forklift Safety course, not a Forklift Operator’s course.
The course includes the following:
The course includes both a classroom and practical component. Written testing and driver operation are evaluated to ensure your employees have the skills necessary to operate forklifts incident-free. To meet minimum Occupational Health & Safety requirements, see: Forklift accidents do happen, and happen more often than you think. This 4-hour course instructs the experienced forklift operator in how these accidents occur, and what can be done to prevent them. Classroom theory in forklift accident causation addresses the routinely practiced substandard acts that lead to overturns, spills, and loss. An optional module on forklift operations provides the operator with an opportunity to assess their own skills, and change their operational patterns. The course has been well received by our corporate clients, and more importantly, well received by even experienced forklift operators as being a valid and common-sense course. This program is available as one of our computer-based training packages. E-Mail or call today on our toll-free number 1(888) 470-6620 for a demo disc. |
